ALL HANDS ON CRAFT

Hi, I'm Carolina — the one behind the hook, and the mastermind behind Paper & Pixel. It all started the way most yarn habits do: one small project that refused to stay small. A single crochet tulip turned into a windowsill, then a shelf at a local store, then a whole little garden of flowers that never need watering.

I make crochet flowers, amigurumi with slightly too much personality, shadow boxes that hold a memory in place, and custom pieces for the moments people don't want to forget.

Everything is made by me, by hand, usually with music or a show on in the background and a cup of something going cold beside me.

HOW A PIECE HAPPENS

01

Design

Every piece starts on paper — petal shapes, colour swatches, or a layout sketch for a shadow box before a single stitch or bloom goes in.

02

Make

Hook and yarn for the flowers and amigurumi. Paper, glue, and a lot of patience for the shadow boxes. Everything built one piece at a time, by hand.

03

Finish

Floral wire in the stems, safety eyes on the amigurumi, blooms set just right inside every frame — the small details that make a piece feel done.

04

Ready

Wrapped up, double-checked, and ready to bloom, cuddle up, or hold a memory.

What I believe in

Slow, small-batch making. Flowers for people who kill real ones. Gifts that outlive the occasion. And that a handmade thing should feel like someone thought about you the whole time they were making it — because someone did.
